We minimized use of harmful chemicals and use non-toxic cleaning products. We useVOC (Volatile Organic Compound) materials on our property, such as paint, adhesives, carpeting and air fresheners. We clean our rooms with environmentally friendly cleaning products to improve air quality and reduce emissions of VOCs.
We provide dispensers for shampoo and conditioner in guest rooms and use recycling programs such as different types of paper, bottles, food linen and furniture. We provide recycling bins through out our rooms and encourage recycling of aluminum, glass, newspaper, white paper, plastic and steel cans. We also provide guest opportunity to check out electronically (paperless).
We donate future linens and equipment to local nonprofit or charitable organizations. We use old towels and linens as rags for cleaning. We provide guest rooms with clearly marked recycling baskets for newspaper, white paper, glass, aluminum, cardboard and plastic. We had carefully dismantled rooms and buildings during renovation to salvage reusable materials and fixtures.
We purchase reusable and disposable products as well as products that are recyclable, biodegradable, organic, and grown/made locally. Our restroom supplies hand towels and toilet papers are made from recycled products. We also provide air dryers. We are committed to select environmentally responsible service providers, renewable energy sources, integrated pest management and alternative fuel vehicles. We purchase organic, fair trade, cruelty-free amenity products when possible. We use recycled paper products (with high post-consumer recycled content) that are either unbleached or bleached using a chlorine-free process.
We use non-toxic or least toxic cleaners, sanitizers, paints and pesticides through out the hotel and make sure all chemicals are stored safely in a well-ventilated area. We purchase “Energy-Star” appliances and replace old washing machines with both water and energy conserving models and consider cabinets, flooring, tiles and countertops made of recycled and renewable resources.
We ensure that food and beverage packaging is recyclable and that it will be recycled. We give attendees reusable mugs at start of meeting and conferences and provide well marked recycling bins that are conveniently located around food service areas. We use reusable containers, table cloths, linen napkins, dishes and silverware or biodegradable products.
